In addition to her clinical and academic roles, Dr Raman-Abdulla holds a **Diploma in Public Management from the WITS School of Governance. She hopes to leverage this qualification to transform ophthalmology within the public health sector, advocating for systemic improvements in access, efficiency, and equity.

Her dedication to service is further exemplified by her partnership with the Islamic Medical Association of South Africa, through which she co-runs a charitable cataract surgery camp that ensures underprivileged patients receive timely, sight-restoring care.

What truly defines Dr Raman-Abdulla as a surgeon is her unwavering compassion and kindness—qualities that permeate every aspect of her clinical practice, mentorship, and leadership.
